Abstract:
This data set includes annual net primary productivity (ANPP) and precipitation for a number of different biomes. The purpose of this study was to attribute variation in ANPP to variation in precipitation. The novelty was the incorporation of variation, in contrast to previous analyses by numerous authors that focused primarily on mean values of ANPP and precipitation. Data were mined primarily from the LTER archive, although some newer primary data from non-LTER sites were also included.
