Description:

LOCATION DESCRIPTION

During the winter of 1965-66, all trees on Watershed 2 (HBEF) were felled and left on-site. The watershed was then treated with herbicide for the following three summers, in order to prevent regrowth of vegetation.

DATA DESCRIPTION

Beginning in 1969, revegetation data were collected on established plots within watershed 2. Biomass, weight, enumeration and element content data are available for herb, shrub, rubus, sapling, and tree populations (when applicable). Data was collected in 1969, 1970, 1971, 1973, 1979, and 1988. Maps showing locations of plots on WS2 and locations of subplots within plots are available from the Data Manager.
