Abstract:
This data set was collected over four growing seasons (1996-1999) at Jinsha, Sichuan Province, China. The principal data set is the methane flux data with all metadata (air and soil temperature, water depth, background CH4, etc.) collected for each sampling plot. A second file contains methane production data from 1998 and 1999. A third file contains the harvest and growth data. A fourth file contains the soil analysis for 1996 and 1997, and fertilization data for 1996-1999.

Description:

Chamber studies

Sealed chambers are placed at designated sample plots in the rice fields. A succession of air samples are taken from the sampling port and measured with GC-FID for methane concentration.
