Downloading Morpho

What's Needed:

Morpho is a Java application. (If you are interested in more details about Java, see http://java.sun.com) This means that you must have a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) (sometimes referred to as a Java Virtual Machine,or JVM)  installed on your computer to run Morpho. You can just download Morpho along with the Java Virtual Machine, but these downloads are large and you may already have a copy on your machine.

One way to check is to open a command line window (if you have one) and enter the command "java -version". If a recent version of Java is installed, you will get a message that includes the Java version number. Currently, the version number should be at least 1.3.

If you want to get a version of Java that can be shared with future Java application, check the site http://java.sun.com/j2se/ and download the version needed for your computer. You can then download the a copy of Morpho appropriate for your computer without the JVM
